I'm driving a 1992 Mercury Topaz XR5 coupe at the moment, and I find it to be a superior model in the Tempo/Topaz family. I got it because its cool to drive, and practical. The 135 hp 3.0 liter V6 seems plenty enough of power after you've driven 4-bangers most of your life. The only thing I don't like about it is it seems to be lowered at the rear, which i don't like. I like a balanced stance. But the styling is beautiful, especially the spoiler lines, both bottom and on the trunk lid. It handles pretty good with the 15 inch rims. (I put 14" winter rims on it for the winter. Which handles well enough as well.) Anyone out there looking for a cute swift vehicle as this one, could consider one of those, although it might be a little hard to find one of those for sale.
