Subtle improvements and a healthy power boost for an already excellent luxury sedan

by   lawman67 , top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Nov 23, 2005
Pros: Very powerful 3.0 liter engine, outstanding comfort and convenience, good reliability record.
Cons: The design is now 5-years-old. Maintenance no longer free during warranty period.
The Bottom Line: Still a terrific value on a terrific luxury sedan.
Review: This review of the 2006 Mercedes Benz C280 luxury sedan may seem familiar. If you read my review of the 2001 C240, you might feel as I did that you had been here before. Here's why. I've been looking for used luxury cars for a few weeks now, and ...

A Perfect Car

by   freewheelb ,  Dec 4, 2007
Pros: - Great ride & handling - Superior build quality
Cons: - Premium fuel - Parts are expensive
The Bottom Line: A little pricey, but a fantastic, fun car if you can afford it!
Review: I have owned this car for two years now and still absolutely love this car. It has a perfect balance of sport, luxury, power, room, fuel economy, etc. It's incredibly comfortable on long drives (especially with the optional heated seats). For ...

Bigger engine and great improvements for 2006

by   fsafadi ,  Mar 7, 2007
Pros: Great 7-spd transmission, quality, ride and engine.
Cons: Expensive tires to replace
The Bottom Line: For the price, I simply couldn't find a better alternative. Great car.
Review: I replaced my 2003 C230 Kompressor with the new 2006 C230 Sports Sedan. Ownership summary: - Purchased Jan. 2006, 14k miles so far - Options: Sport package, moonroof,7-spd Auto, CD changer - Average fuel consumption: 22 mpg Having owned the 2003 ...

C230, C350 Sport and C280 Luxury review

by   dchen2 ,  Oct 25, 2006
Pros: Brand Prestige, Looks, Handling, seat comfort, for 350 and 280 Power
Cons: Negative Brand connotations, Pricey-especially options, all show and no go for 230
The Bottom Line: The Mercedes C-class lineup composed of one poser and two great cars. The C280 is pint sized luxury car, C350 great sports sedan
Review: Background: Last summer, I did a internship out in West Palm Beach Florida, and since I own a truck out in Arizona, it was more economical for me to drive a rental car rather than driving my truck crosscountry or getting it shipped to and ...

My new car search: Mercedes C350 Sport

by   davlav ,  Dec 7, 2005
Pros: Powerful engine, good handling, high quality interior
Cons: Tight rear seat, drab interior design, frustrating option packaging and dealer availability
The Bottom Line: There some good aspects to this car but, in the end, the lackluster interior design, limited manual availability, and poor reliability record put it out of contention.
Review: My Search: Before I get to the actual review, I just want to give some context as to what kind of car I am looking for in terms of needs and preferences. This was you'll have a better basis for how my opinion may or may not fit with your own. ...

Great car but can't trust the dealer!

by   credibility1 ,  Apr 22, 2006
Pros: V6 engine is powerful, great handling, supple ride, comfortable seats, quiet riding, and great looks!
Cons: Dealer, dealer, dealer!!!
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend the car. But only after researching to find a dealer to be honest and capable of servicing the car.
Review: After researching and testing several cars, I ordered a 2006 Mercedes C Class 230 back in December. I was told the car would arrive in mid February. I then received a call from the dealer (Germain Mercedes of Columbus) and was told my salesman left. I ...

2006 C230 Sport Sedan

by   xludexgenx5 ,  Mar 17, 2007
Pros: Nice car overall, gets alot of attention and of course its a Benz.
Cons: Alignment problems since day I got the car, even with the V6 not enough power.
Review: Bought this car over a year ago, decent car, had a few problems with things such as Alignment, recall on Airbags, and Water Condensing in the Turn Signals in the mirrors. Other than that the car drives fine. Bit of lag though because of the FLY-By-Wire ...

Out with the four, in with the six

by   mkaresh , top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Oct 3, 2005
Pros: Exterior styling, smooth engine, solid feel
Cons: In the shadow of the new 3, indecisive transmission, tight rear seat
The Bottom Line: A thoroughly good car, with sharp styling and a very solid structure, but the new 3 is better in nearly every way.
Review: Last year I drove the revised 2005 C-Class and found a much improved car over the 2001. Apparently Mercedes wasn't done with its revisions, though, as the car gets all-new engines for 2006. The supercharged four is history. The C230 Sport Sedan is now ...
