A keeper
Pros:
Simply, a fabulously safe, well running, stable auto.
Cons:
It won't run forever.
The Bottom Line:
As I survived a head on collision on a major highway, at 70MPH, in a Mercedes, I will never drive any other make of automobile. Need I say more?

Author's Review
After surviving a head on collision, at 70 mph, in my '97 300E, I made the instant decision to stay in Mercedes the rest of my life. I also owned at that time a restored '71 280SL, (that I had since 1978) that I ended up selling, then, took the cash to the local dealership to get the "used" '99 230C...what a wonderful deal I got, and what a tremendous auto. Tremendous motor, good mileage compared to most it's size, extremely low service visits (yes, regular services are kept up), wonderful space for moving things (I have the rear seat that lowers, hence it is no different than a Honda Accord, etc.), and more. The only major thing I've had to do on this car in the past three years of owning it is tire replacement. The car currently has over 85K miles, and I plan to hang on to it for several more years. (Living in Southern CA, the babe gets plenty of miles thrown on, daily) Now, as it has done so well, my husband traded in his Audi and got a new C Class from the showroom floor. It is another great car... of course, I still love my '99 as the interior is actually a bit nicer with the heated seats, wood trim, back seats that lower, etc. I will, however, get another Mercedes when mine wears out to the point it won't move!!
