Diesel-Every thing a car should be

We have had diesels in our family since 1963. I would not drive anything else. It is everything I would want in a car and that is my current 1993 300D. It is safe, exquisite workmanship and it is not what people think of a diesel that is being slow, loud and smokey. Yes the old diesels were like that and GM soured the "Diesel" name with its crappy worthless diesels that were nothing but reconfigured poor quality gas engines. My diesel is fast (turbocharged) very quite except at idle, starts fine in the winter and I average 33mpg. which I feel is great for a big car. One time on a long trip in Wisconsin where there are a lot of patrol I kept it at a even 60 mph. and got a incredible 41mpg.
