Memorex 52X CD-R 100 pack
I have burned a lot of things in my time. I have burned my hair, my fingers, my belly (I had no shirt on and was taking pizza out of the oven
still have the scar), and I even burned my nose once when I was lighting a cigarette. A buddy of mine once burned down a swimming pool when he was 13 years old
umm, ehem
it had a wooden deck.
But anyway, when it comes to burning CDs, I cant begin to tell you how many I have burned in the last two years. But I can say that I have burned more than ten of these 100 pack CD-R packages. I buy CD-R blank media in bulk because on my job, I am constantly backing up peoples files and you would not believe how many times I have had to burn another copy of my utilities software because I lost it or the disc became too scratched to use anymore.
I also burn tons (not pounds but tons) of music and video. Every time I re-edit one of my bands latest songs, I have to burn a disc and listen to it in every CD player I have so I can hear what it sounds like in various environments. This isnt because I like the music (although I do) but more so I can make the EQ and effects on the disc sound like they are supposed to for as many different settings as possible. Its a big job, but somebodys got to do it.
The point is I burn more CDs in a month than most people burn in a year. I buy the Memorex 100 pack because they are reliable and not too expensive. Out of 1,000 CDs I have had less than five that didnt burn correctly and those were not because of the disc, my computer had some issues I had to correct.
The Memorex discs are very reliable. I have used them in all six of my burners (all different speeds) and on many of my clients burners as well with no problems due to compatibility or medium errors.

These discs are not pre-labeled and are not printable. They are also not LightScribe compatible. They are simply reliable bulk CD-R media for everyday burning and they have never failed me yet. The discs themselves are plain with no painted label for writing with a marker; however you can write on the top with a marker if you want, it wont affect the data or music; just don't scratch the top of the disc or it may not be able to be read anymore.
I use Verbatim LightScribe media for discs that I intend to professionally label for music and projects; I wouldnt want to waste a more expensive disc for making a driver CD that will most likely be lost after my client installs their drivers. I use the Memorex discs when I need to rip off a quick burn and know that the disc will work every time.
Conclusion
If you burn a lot of CDs and re-burn a lot more CDs, this is a good buy to keep you burning. If you want, you can print standard labels from kits like the
Memorex CD Labeling System which I have used many times in the past before I got my LightScribe drive. You can even get glossy CD labels for a fairly professional looking label. The real bottom line is; the discs are not fancy, but very reliable and very compatible.
