Some blanks are born to be coasters from the get go -- but this is not the case with Memorex. Knock on wood I have not had a single coaster from the lot and have used almost the entire spindle. I have used these recordables in stand alone DVD recorders and PC burners of different brands. They disk are fast and dependable...They have served well for music, photos, data, and home movies. Did I mention the price was not bad either.

NEVER ENOUGH

I generally stay with the same brand of DVD recordables so the DVDs themselves match. But it's difficult to pay $60 for a spindle when the one next to it is $18. In the past there would be a considerable difference in the disk itself. But today most DVD recordables are the same.

Now I just pick up a 100 spindle with the best pricing. The Memorex 16x DVD-R Spindle (100 Pack)has been a fine choice for all of my general recording needs. The disk are backward compatible to 1X and will only reach the maximum speed when inserted into a drive or stand alone burner that supports the higher speed range. In any event, if you like to record or backup your data you never seem to have enough blanks on hand.

Each Memorex DVD-R recordable can hold one hour of fine recording. up to 6 or 8 hours in extended mode (based on your recorders abilities), or a little over 4GB of data (music, video, pictures, documents, etc. ...).
