Author's Review

The smell is the stench of the Mazda 6 and the pathetic customer service. We have been a Mazda owner since December 2003 when we bought our Mazda 6. Right off the start there were issues with the vehicle and the Mazda’s "Authorized Dealers". The Mazda 6 has had a weird sulfur smell in the cabin since we have owned it. Apparently there was a recall just for this very item and we have been trying to solve this issue since our purchase. For years we have been taking the car back to the dealer to fix the problem. The dealer has been unable, or unwilling, to solve the problem and has strung us along till the warranty ran out. Once the warranty ran out we tried yet another dealer: We discovered after left from this little trip that this dealer did not fix the persistent "sulfur smell" either and also secured only one side of the glove box and left it hanging.

I wrote Mazda and told them of their poor dealer representation and this is what they said:

Thank you for contacting Mazda.

I regretted to read that your vehicle may not have lived up to your expectations. Your feedback regarding your experience is important and is valued. Rest assured I have documented your comments regarding your experience for our corporate record. We continuously evaluate these records as part of our ongoing commitment to provide only the highest quality products and services.

Also, please understand all authorized Mazda dealerships are independently owned and operated businesses. As such, they are solely responsible for the business transactions they make, including repairs and services they perform on vehicles.

Again, thank you for contacting Mazda and apologies for the inconvenience of your experience.

Regards,

Basically, Mazda will not even intercede to help their customers get better service. I am disgust with Mazda, their vehicle and service and will never purchase another one again.
