2004 Mazda 6 SportWagon

by   artchik ,  Apr 24, 2006
Pros: Styling, Handling, Cargo Capacity, Gas Mileage
Cons: Can't find any. (Believe me, I tried.....) Everything about this car is great.
The Bottom Line: Anyone who needs room for gear but doesn't want to sacrifice handling/gas mileage should look at one of these. You will be very happy.
Review: I bought my Mazda 6 SportWagon new in October of 2004 and I absolutely love it. I have had 8 different cars since I got my license 20 years ago (gosh, I feel so old writing that!) and this is the first car I've ever owned that I cannot find a single ...

Great styling, handling, dependability

by   dpeter51 ,  Aug 5, 2005
Pros: Beautiful car, comfortable, roomy, powerful engine, good handling
Cons: Large turning radius, automatic transmission a bit geriatric
The Bottom Line: Great mid-sized car, great styling, good dependability and fun to drive
Review: My wife bought her 2004 model year Mazda 6 in November of 04 and we have really enjoyed it. I think the styling is great, the interior is comfortable (even my parents didn't mind a 2-hr trip in the back seat), the handling and steering feel is solid and ...

Mazda 6 Sport Wagon

by   finnyboy ,  Apr 15, 2006
Pros: Reliable safe economical transport, we leave the SUV at home except for skiing and towing.
Cons: Visibility in the rear quarters is not good this takes some getting used to.
Review: We purchased a fully loaded Mazda 6 Sport Wagon recently. I love this car, the handling and brakes are superb. We use it for highway driving and commuting. The idea was to leave the SUV at home most of the time. With the rear seat folded flat there is ...

Pros: Looks, quality throughout, great economy, fun to drive !
Cons: Could turn a little shorter.
Review: I have had my Mazda 6 5 door hatchback four cylinder for almost 4 years now. (60,000 miles now.) This is the best car I have ever owned. Huge storage(carried a full sized wheel borrow and closed the hatch!) Fuel efficient 4 cylinder 30 MPG and yet ...

6s Sedan * Automatic Transmission

by   magikist ,  Oct 18, 2006
Pros: FUN, fast, excellent handling, A+safety ratings, excellent suspension, A+trade-in value.
Cons: Average quality as reported by Consumer Reports. Some Mazda dealers have seemingly crooked business practices.
The Bottom Line: Check Consumer Reports.Shy away from colors like purple, orangish-brown, and add-ons like spoilers. Compare prices, dealers, and consider a new 6.Great alternative to the baby Lexus/Volvo's.
Review: I bought the 6s brand new at a year end sale for $18,500 and then drove it for 12 mos. WHAT A FUN CAR! Not only was it a blast to drive for everyday use, but with traction control it performed very well in the worst weather. I found myself trapped in a ...

2004 Mazda 6

by   leah0813 ,  Dec 2, 2005
Pros: roomy, affordable, sporty, quick to stop, smooth ride
Cons: engine extremely loud when cold, once in a while shifts roughly
Review: I have not had many complaints about my Mazda 6 with a V6 and manual transmission. It is quick, sporty, and stops on a dime. It has great crash test ratings, from what I've read. It's a fun car to drive and I average about 26-27 mpg on hwy. In the ...

2004 Mazda 6 V6

by   jpapan1 ,  Apr 5, 2006
Pros: nice interior, trunk space, SMOOTH ride, quiet
Cons: mileage, shifting, defrost problem, radio options
The Bottom Line: Would not buy again...could find an alternative without the issues I had...hopefully in same ballpark range
Review: I bought this car because I had a 2000 Mazda Protege with little to no problems and thought the inside was a lot better than the Accord or other like cars. iggest problems I have with it are this. The MP# player that Mazda offered at the time was ...

MAZDA 6 GT 2004

by   steena21 ,  Apr 6, 2008
Pros: Sporty car, nice interior, excellent BOSE speakers
Cons: Needs improvement: CD player, heated seats, turning radius, spoiler, & transmission (replaced after 80k)
The Bottom Line: I would recommend an accord over a mazda 6. Holds car value better and more reliable. I wouldn't purchase this car again or recommend it.
Review: I bought this car because of it's stylish look and great interior. I would definately recommend if you are interested in buying this car to purchase the extended 160,000km/7yr warranty. As I have had a few problems with this car and the dealership. ...

What is that smell?

by   cecrd ,  Apr 24, 2008
Pros: nice looking car
Cons: "sulfur smell" in the cabin and poor service reps
The Bottom Line: Not recommended
Review: The smell is the stench of the Mazda 6 and the pathetic customer service. We have been a Mazda owner since December 2003 when we bought our Mazda 6. Right off the start there were issues with the vehicle and the Mazda’s "Authorized Dealers". The ...

Love the car, hate the quality

by   dmelchi ,  Nov 1, 2006
Pros: Fun car to drive, if you do not have problems with the manufacturer quality.
Cons: poor quality and customer support
Review: Purchased an '04 6i manual with all the options the end of '04. Had a few minor problems with broken plastic clips on fuse panel that Mazda would not cover with 1,000 on the car. That item only cost me $50. Recently started experiencing problem with ...
