Fast, comfortable, and handles like a car.

Date of Review:  Aug 16, 2002
The Bottom Line: Finally showing some signs of not being a new car anymore. Still highly recommend to anyone. 2004's look great and have features I wish this one had.
Review: Bought this vehicle after searching and researching everything out there. Looked at the Honda Odyssey but honestly was too big and way too expensive. Honda Dealer didn't want to budge on price since this vehicle is in high demand. Liked many...

2002 Mazda MPV LX van

Date of Review:  Jan 24, 2008
The Bottom Line: I cannot recommend an MPV with a transmission that breaks down as early as 40k miles AND the dealers/manufacturers knew about it!
Review: I've owned nothing but Mazdas since the late '80s: 1 '87 RX-7 (stolen/wrecked), 1 '89 626 which I traded up for my MPV. I loved that van. Upon purchase, my dealer strongly recommended an extended warranty, I wondered why at the time. With a history...

Mazda MPV 2002

Date of Review:  Mar 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a van that offers excellent seat configuration flexibility, nice features and a competitive price, I would highly recommend this minivan.
Review: Purchased my MPV about a month ago, an LX with the Security and Luxury packages, and so far I am very pleased with it.

The primary selling points for me were: the tumble under 3rd row seat and the sliding 2nd row captains chairs, and these...

She's gone.

Date of Review:  Mar 29, 2002
The Bottom Line: I would buy another one. (In fact, I did!) The serviceability far outweighs the few problems.
Review: 4/5/2008 Final Update: I traded her in on a new 2008 Suzuki SX4 Crossover for my wife. (Started a review of that elsewhere.) She was still running strong and had remained a reliable partner, and I will miss her. If you are looking for a good used...

Best for the Money

Date of Review:  May 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: Overall, especially for the price, I'd get another one if I had to do it again!
Review: We bought our 2002 MPV ES about 2 months ago. It has been a great vehicle so far. We like the 17" wheels, and the way it drives (more like a car than a typical minivan). It has decent power, but nothing too great. OK stereo, and decent dash layout...

The 2002 Mazda MPV Really Does Zoom

Date of Review:  Jun 30, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you don't need the largest of the minivans, and you want to drive something resembling a car that will seat 7, this is the one for you.
Review: I had never driven a van in my life, but with three kids, the time had come to graduate from my Subaru Legacy wagon. I test drove the Toyota Sienna and was intimidated by it; the Honda Odyssey would barely fit in our garage; and so I moved on to one...

Nice Odyssey alternative

Date of Review:  Jul 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: Great drive, easy seating conversion, and quadruple 5 star safety rating are a few reason to consider the MPV if you're willing to sacrifice some space.
Review: There were two models I considered when I decided to purchase a minivan, the Honda Odyssey and the Mazda MPV. The reason was that at the time of this writing, those two models were the only ones that allowed the 3rd row of seats to be completely...

The Best and The Only 7-Seater Sport Minivan !!!

Date of Review:  Dec 16, 2003
The Bottom Line: I have test-driven other minivans or sat in other relatives minivans. I've found that the MPV is the king of minivans when it comes to driving fun in a van.
Review: I had test-driven other minivans including 2003 Sienna and Odyssey before making up my decision. The Odyssey is "odd" in driving experience. I couldn't tell if it was hitting a bump, I felt so isolated; it felt just like sitting in anyone's...

Date of Review:  Jun 30, 2002
The Bottom Line: would recommend highly..especially for a small family or just for 2 adults who want to travel in comfort amd style!!
Review: We started looking around for a Blue MazdaMPV 2002 in late
March. (Saw a carguide rating of 4 stars and a photo...which led us to test drive one.)No dealerships in our town of Elmira...so I got on the Internet and located some in Syracuse,...

Mazda MPV: Worth it!

Date of Review:  Apr 24, 2002
The Bottom Line: Go For It! Reliable, economical, stylish, easy to arrange. We test drove a friend's and that's what convinced us!
Review: We purchased the MPV (2001 ES) last year and could not be happier. First things First; We previously owned a Jeep. Great car, except that it was 8 cylinders and cost a pretty penny in gas. My wife enjoyed being able to see above the road as opposed...
