Mazda MPV 2002

Purchased my MPV about a month ago, an LX with the Security and Luxury packages, and so far I am very pleased with it.

The primary selling points for me were: the tumble under 3rd row seat and the sliding 2nd row captains chairs, and these have proven to be every bit as useful to me as I had thought. Disappearing 3rd row seat makes it easy to take cargo or my dogs in the car without having to remove the seat.

I looked at several models (Odyssey, Caravan, Sienna) and felt the features, finish and attention to detail in the MPV was superior and for less money.

It has at least adequate power for all of the driving I have done so far (passing at highway speeds and normal around town driving) and is quiet on the road.

My biggest complaint is that for some reason they did not put an electronic lock on the passenger side, so that if I leave my wife in the car for a few minutes she has to reach over to my side in order to lock herself in. I know it is minor but Mazda should have caught this.
