Would love to have one, but..
Pros:
Good looking and functional at a pretty good price.
Cons:
Can't find one, no discounts or incentives.
The Bottom Line:
I'd be driving one if I could have located one configured like I wanted it, but I'm not waiting forever, nor will I pay sticker for ANY vehicle.

This is just what I wanted, however, when you can't get one configured the way you want and the sticker price is in stone - forget it. Looks great, drives very nicely and it's practical. I've looked at every dealer within 150 miles and can't find the one I want regardless of the price. That's a silver (or white) FWD LX with a towing package and the optional cassette player and cloth seats (just don't like leather). I've heard that the mileage is quite a bit less than advertised along with some fuel odors, etc. too. None the less, of all of the little SUV's available I still like the Trib the best. Maybe in a couple years when my wife's car is ready to be retired there will be more available and the dealers will be more motivated to actually deal. Most of the dealers we visited weren't satisfied with full sticker they also tacked on Scotchguard and extra paint sealant to boot. Just this weekend we stopped at the local Mazda dealer and noted that in addition to the fabric/paint sealants they added an extra $ 700 just because they could! They are sticking it to the customers at every opportunity (crooks!). I guess there is no honor at some dealerships. It'll sure be a cold day before they ever see any of my money.
BTW, the white dog lounging in the back of the Tribute in the literature could be our dog's twin. Spooky since our dog is a mix of husky, lab and shepherd.
I'm off to get a deal from another mfg dealer that actually wants my business now (a sedan, not an SUV). Sorry Mazda, I've had four and tried for the fifth - I guess it just wasn't meant to be - especially with your crooked dealers.
