Here We Go!!!

I have just purchased a 94 Mazda Protege DX for a soon to be driving neice. This 4 dr economy automatic driver comes with 75K miles and a DOHC 1.8 liter 4 bagger. A phesant hit the grill in MT and it needs replacement. Tires are shot and there is a stone chip in the windshield.
driving the little sedan was a surprize. Peepy & responsive. 3 speed with OD does well and gives outstanding mileage. Prevoius owner drove from CA to ND and has never had any problems with the car. Even hauled fire wood in the expansive trunk. For basic reliable transport at a reasonable price and good mpg how could a beginer driver go wrong. I have tried a lot of compact cars and this one was easy to exit and enter, had good visability and enough power to send you darting through traffic. This engine has a timing belt and it is wize to change them at 60 t0 70 k miles. Breaking a belt can damage the engine. At 10 years of age this car is free of rust. The paint still shines and drive train performs without any sign of tiring. I have read one negative review. not bad when compared to an American jalopy of the same vintage.
