MAJOR Manufacturer's Defect, Broke Down before 1 year!

The Bottom Line: Avoid it until Bearing switched with Ball Bearing. Otherwise, once Defect fixed, Average Rating.

The Bottom Line: Due to the possibility of a fire from over heating, and the horrible squeaking sound I would say avoid this and spend the extra $$ for a quality unit.

Doesn't dry

Review: I paid good money for this dryer, only to find out that it doesn't dry at all. It takes at least 2 cycles for the stuff to dry. Maytag won't do anything about it. The thing is not even a year old. DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER. And given Maytag's inability...

OK...So Far

Review: I've owned this dryer and it's companion washer for about nine months and I have to say that it is convenient to use, has performed pretty well and has not needed service.

Of course, it's "GENTLE BREEZE" drying system makes for long drying...

OK for a small dryer

Review: Yes, it does take a long time to dry, but it the clothes are always dry when it is done. The only time I had to reload is for a blanket or something large that needs to be opened up and put back in to fully dry. I'm sure many dryers have this...
