issues with the Gemini stove

The Gemini is a very cool concept. Small oven on top gets used most often. It is great it heats up fast and is very high so you don't even need to bend to check on the meal or remove from the stove. Although I love the oven, the range top is a problem, not once but twice I have had flames shoot out from the nobs....the first time I called Maytag and they said they have never heard of the problem, but when the repairman came he explained that if a pot boils over it shorts out the electronic ignition ...and this is a common problem....Thank god there are five burners because now am down to four. I can't afford a couple of hundred dollars everytime a pot boils over. Maytag just does not recognize they have a problem on their hands. I have never heard of any other stove model having this type of issue
Their web site needs help too. I went to buy a part for my refrigerator and see if I could order another electronic ignition for my stove instead of calling the repairman if you click on recall info or parts it just gives you a blank blue screen...(I have high speed) . I would wait to buy this stove. Either they need to fix the range top or perhaps another manufacturer will come out with a similar model without these problems.
