Ice2NO!

The Bottom Line: Until Maytag improves this fridge, avoid it at all costs. Also beware of other brands / models made by Maytag / Amana that look similar.
We bought this fridge 6 months ago. It is hard to say if it has ever worked correctly. It is a very nice fridge but the reliability is terrible!
The service people have been out several times and the fridge still does not work!!!
The ice maker doesn't make ice, the water in the ice maker doesn't freeze AND it is jammed.
Stuff freezes in the fridge part.
Stuff turns into ice crystals galore in the freezer.
The plastic screen / vent on the bottom of the fridge falls off constantly.
When the ice maker was working, ice would shoot out of the side and more cubes would go on the floor than in your glass.
They replaced a thermistor and the high voltage circuit board on the back.
Also, these fridges are so complex that the service people have no idea how to work on them or where the sensors are. One serviceman had us take everything out of the fridge and then realized that the temperature sensor was right next to the light on the ceiling of the fridge.
Another repairman told me "Just between you and I, return this and get another brand. These break down a LOT."
I also discovered that not many repair people stock the parts for these and it took more than a week and two different packages to get the parts from Maytag.
As for general looks and functionality: The fridge is attractive and functions fairly well. A downside is that you have to open both top doors to open the deli drawer.
Space is good in the fridge part, tons of space for large beverage containers as well but the freezer could be a little larger.
