Loud Fan Runs Continually While Baking

I just bought this electric oven last week. The cooling fan runs continually from the time you turn it on until 10 minutes after you turn it off. Maytag says this is NORMAL for this oven. (This is not a convection or microwave oven.)

I've owned many ovens in the past and none have ever had the fan run continually. Maybe if it's been on a high broil for an extended time or if baking for over 3 hours, but not EVERY single minute of EVERY single time.

This fan is LOUD. You cannot hold a conversation in the kitchen while it's running. Any hope of ever enjoying a relaxing meal preparation is ruined. And if your eating area is also in the kitchen you can't eat in peace until the oven is fully cooled off. Are all buyers supposed to put up with this for the next 10+ years? Believe me when I say that it will drive you crazy.

I'm going to have to buy another (NOT Maytag) oven and consider this $1000 as a total waste. I simply cannot stand it. Anyone out there want to buy an almost new loud oven?
