Creating a More "Flawless" Look
Pros:
Spreads and blends very nicely, has nice finish
Cons:
On warm days (or if skin is particularly oily) may begin to glisten
The Bottom Line:
Another great product by Maybelline. This foundation really is pretty "Silky." It blends nicely and leaves your skin looking fairly flawless and quite beautiful.

Author's Review
I saw this product in the store for the first time about a year ago. I have always liked Maybelline products so I decided to give this one a try. I had never really been fully satisfied with a foundation. Without spending bookoo bucks, it is difficult to find one that goes on smooth, stays smooth and matches your skin tone. When I saw that this one had toner built right in I was particularly interested to give it a try.
Maybeline Superstay Silky Foundation comes in two-sided pump. On one side there is the foundation and on the other is a silky coverage extender (or primer). When the pump is pressed down and equal amount of both creams are dispensed. You then apply both, at the same time, to your face and blend.
The bottle claims 16-hours of flawless coverage. It also says that it contains SPF 12 sunscreen. It is designed to not clog pore and is oil free.
First off, I love the texture of this foundation. It is pretty creamy and has a matte like finish to it, which creates a flawless look. Some other foundations that I have tried sometimes seemed far too liquid which in my opinion is harder to get blended in. The thicker, lotion feel of this foundation is easy to spread and blend.
The coverage extender is part of what makes the foundation so easy to spread and blend.
I have always been one to put a bit of moisturizer on my face before applying my foundation. This has always helped prep my face for the makeup and makes the foundation spread smoother and farther. With the coverage extender, this step is not entirely necessary, though I personally still like to wear a little extra moisturizer. The extender and the foundation blend together very easily. You can spread a little quite far and by rubbing in circular motions can blend it quite easily into you skin.
The color of the foundation is pretty good. If you dont get the right color, it can look a little orange on your skin. The right shade though, blends in well. It is definitely works and matches my skin tone and color much better than many other foundations that I have tried.
I like the fact that this has a light sunscreen added to it. I also use a moisturizer that has a little sunscreen added. I figure between the two, I am protecting my face from too much sun exposure. I usually (unless I am going to be outside for a really long time) do not add extra sunscreen.
This foundation does not make my skin oily nor does it seem to block pores. I do not see any change in the clarity of my skin when wearing this (as apposed to wearing no makeup).
As far as the 16 hours thing
I think it all depends on the climate and what you are doing. On cold or nice days my makeup still looks pretty good by the end of the day. On particularly hot summer days, I have noticed that by the end of the day my skin looks a little less perfect. My not so oily skin still gets affected by heat and when this happens the foundation can start to get a glistened look to it. It does not blotch or separate, but the glistening look does make you look slightly more made up. This does not seem to happen until later in the day (again only when it is particularly hot out) and can be remedied by touching up with a bit of powder.
The foundation sells in a 1 ounce bottle for about $10-$11. I only use about a half a pump per day so one bottle lasts me quite a while.
The pump is easy enough to use. If it does not come out evenly you are directed to tap the bottle on a hard surface. I have never really had a problem with it dispensing unevenly. I have noticed that the end of the dispenser can become kind of messy if you are not careful to fully wipe off all the dispensed foundation and extender.
All in all, this is so far one of the better foundations that I have found when purchasing makeup on a budget. It spreads and blends the best. The finish is soft and matte like (something I really like). Lastly, the color, when matched correctly, blends well and works great for creating that flawless look we all desire.
