Human Vs.Machine

Let me say that my movie reviews are my opinion only. I tell you what I liked and disliked about
the movie, but in the process of that, I do not give away the entire movie.

Movie : Maximum Overdrive, Who Made Who?

Film by : Stephen King

Cast : Emilio Estevez, Pat Hingle, Laura Harrington, Christopher Murney.

What the movie is about : A comet comes to close to Earth’s atmosphere. At the second it swooshes across the skies things change, machines that we are so use to operating seem to start operating on their own. Cars, trucks, lawn mowers, blenders, anything that is man made is now going to show man what they are made of.

What I though about the movie :

Emilio Estevez is great in this movie. The tough guy image fits him well. The music for Maximum Overdrive could not have been chosen any better, AC/DC is exactly what I would want to listen to if machines did come to life. It keeps the movie going and going.

The special effects were good as well. Watching the trucks running themselves, the gadgets coming to life, and the lawn mowers chasing after people was sort of a different, yet interesting scene.

Could it happen? Well I never say never. Would I want it to happen? Well I wouldn’t but if it did,I would hope Emilio is there to save me.: }

Is this movie good for children? That all depends on
you. There is some what blood and violence. You do see children and adults getting killed by these alive machines all through the movie. So I would say that if your into monitoring your children’s movie’s, then No, this is not the movie that you want them to see. But if you want to
see something a little off the wall, then this is definitely your movie of choice.
