cute doll, not my daughter's favorite
Date of Review: Jun 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: Cute doll and not at pricey as some of the other interactive dolls out there. Probably wouldn't get again after knowing what she does.
When I first saw this doll I immediately thought it would be a great gift for my daughter's fourth birthday. She has a Little Mommy doll that has the soft body that she recieved when she was two and really loves it. So I thought she would really appreciate the interaction that she would get with this Little Mommy doll.
My daughter did get this as a gift for her fourth birthday. Upon opening the gift she became very excited and couldn't wait to get it out of the box. We took the doll out and got it all set up and taught her how to name her baby. This was pretty easy and straight forward. You do have to make sure to speak slowly and cleary without any background noise to get the best effect. My daughter named her Emma.
"Emma" comes with several accessoris. Almost too many because they always seem to get lost. She has a bottle, blanket, teddy bear, and a couple other things. She talks and pulls the blanket up and holds the bear, but in order for "Emma" to do this you need to make sure the magnets on the items are held at the right angle so that "Emma" recognizes them. She seems to repeat alot of phrases. My daughter enjoyed her for a few days and all of the adults were excited to see what she did, but after the first few times it got pretty old. As much as my daughter was excited to get her on her birthday, her original Little Mommy doll still holds the key to her heart.
