Author's Review
When my daughter, Abby saw Little Mommy Real Loving Doll on TV, she said Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness! I took her to Target, Wal-Mart and Toys R Us and showed her all kinds of different babies but she was set on the Little Mommy.
Honestly, I felt like I was probably wasting $50. But, Abby wanted one so badly that I just couldnt say no. When she saw it under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning, she squealed with delight. She played with it continuously. I felt bad about almost not getting it for her.
Little Mommy Real Baby comes with a little teddy bear, bottle, pink baby blanket, pink outfit, diaper and a hat. My daughter loved the hat!!! It comes in a Caucasian, Hispanic and African American versions. She is about 14 inches long and made of soft vinyl. She requires 4 AA batteries (not included) and is recommended for ages 3 and over.
This doll talks, plays peek a boo with her blanket (magnets in the blanket allow her to hold the blanket in her hands). She will ask you for all of the items that came with her. She recognizes them by the magnets included in her and each item. For example, when she is hungry, she says Mommy, Im hungry.
She can also learn her name. My daughter chose the very creative name Baby got her Little Mommy. You have to teach the doll her name by saying it over and over very clearly. I had just about given up when suddenly Baby recognized her name and her mommy. My daughter was delighted.
Overall, I would recommend this doll. But please keep in mind, she does talk a lot. In fact, she will continue to talk after she hasnt been played with in a while. I literally thought there was someone else in my house one day! Little Mommy does have an on off switch on her back. So, when you have had enough of the chatter, you can switch her off.
