Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse

I bought my smokehouse from Bass Pro Shops (mail order) for $199.00 plus 30 buck to deliver it. I recently moved into a condo and am not allowed to have open flames on the second floors balcony and thought this would work out fine. All in all for the price I paid it has provided some of the best smoked meats I have ever cooked. It is really easy to use, once you assemble it, if you can call attaching the control panel assembly. I just fired it up and smoked a mess of ribs fo 12 hours, a heck of a lot easier that tending a fire for 12 hours! Just load up the chips and away you go. All the pans, racks go right into the dishwasher for an extremely easy clean-up. After about the third use the magnetized door seal seemed to blow out causing air to ruch into the unit and cause a fire inside. I had to push the seal back in place and then literally wrap the unit in tape to get it to seal. I wrote Masterbuilt on their web site and e-mail and explained the problem, they say they will get back to you within 24 hours and i never heard a word. One day at while at the boat supply store I ran across a couple of marine door clips that i thought would work well in keeping the door closed and the seal in place. i attached them with small metal screws and the next time I used the unit it worked fine. Masterbuilt did send me a new door for the unit, no note, no repsonce to my e-mail, UPS just shows up one day with a new door. It's in the garage.
