Underpowered - cannot shred as advertised

We bought one of these recently. They are advertised as shredding up to 11 sheets. However, we found that it had trouble shredding anything more than 4 or 5 at a time! Needless to say this disappointed us and greatly reduced the usefullness of this machine.

Apparently it was the first one that the dealer sold because they too were surprised at the machine's lack of power. However, they went above and beyond for us by contacting Intimus and actually obtained and installed a larger motor from a more expensive model.

After doing so, the shredder was then capable of shredding about 7 to 8 at a time without choking. Better, but still not as advertised.

We have had it for about two months now. This morning, we turned it on and used it for a few minutes, walked away, and when we came back, it was totally dead - no lights or anything. The dealer is going to come and look at it and repair it under warranty, but I can say that we are not impressed with this shredder.
