Mario and Sonic at the Olympics for Nintendo WII - Ready, Set... GOOOOOO!!!!!

Date of Review:  Jan 22, 2009
The Bottom Line: Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is a good single player and great multi-player game. Will burn off a few calories too!
Review: Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is a great little sports game for the Nintendo WII starring, as you might have gathered, Mario, Sonic, and a range of other video game characters who've appeared in their games. The setting is - wait for it - the...

Mario & Sonic At The Olympics

Date of Review:  Sep 19, 2008
The Bottom Line: This is a great game, with realistic looking Olympic events. Such a healthy way for kids to enjoy video games.
Review: Last year I attended a vision therapy class, and the Dr. giving the class convinced me that hand held video games are not the best for children's vision and eye health.

Since that time, I have been limiting the amount of time that my eight...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games - Nintendo Wii

Date of Review:  Jan 29, 2009
The Bottom Line: I found most of the games to be boring and not much fun. Don't waste your money on this lame collection.
Review: There are way too many games for the Nintendo Wii that are just a collection of lame mini-games, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is one of them. Out of all the different Olympic events you can play in this game, many of them play just the...

"I'm a weener!"

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: This is a fun multi-player game. Player must be willing to repeat the same tasks over and over.
Review: This game was pretty far down on my wish list, however we came across a used copy in the game store. There were several reasons why I wanted this game.

One of the reasons we chose this game was to have a party game for guests. We do have...

Mario & Sonic = Cool Game

Date of Review:  Jan 8, 2008
The Bottom Line: I recommend this game for kids or adults, because its a challenge and a good workout!
Review: After playing many games for the Wii and learning the ins and outs of the Wii controllers...this game pushes the limits of what these controllers can do.

Every aspect of the AD accelerometers are put to use in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic...

Now Compete in the Olympics Year-Round!

Date of Review:  Jan 29, 2008
The Bottom Line: This is an exciting game that will get your arms moving and your blood pumping. Play it with a friend and go for the gold.
Review: I consider myself to be in good shape. After all, I compete in Triathlons. And I'm an avid video game player. These two things combined seemed to make Wii Olympics my kind of game. And right I was.

My friend and I rented this and played it...

Olympics is not Wii Sports, but interesting

Date of Review:  Dec 23, 2007
The Bottom Line: 4-player. A few decent events. First time play frustrating on some events. Might rate higher if just for kids and not for whole family.
Review: I m reviewing this game after several weekend's worth of game play, having rented it. We don t have an instruction manual. We're a two adult, two kid household.

Olympics can be played by 1 to 4 players. Many of the events use the nunchuck...

Overall Fun, but No Provision for Left Handed Players

Date of Review:  Nov 19, 2007
The Bottom Line: Despite its idiosyncrasies, this is an excellent game for individual and group play across the age spectrum.
Review: We are a two adult, no children household. We look for Wii games that are suitable for many players (we like to have friends over to play), and that are very engaging, and fun. We don't like war/shooter games or games that are too juvenile. We also...

Fun for a group of people or by yourself.

Date of Review:  Dec 11, 2008
The Bottom Line: This is a fun, active sports game that is fun for all ages. Great for individual play or for group fun.
Review: My husband and I wanted another game to add to our collection. We are into action games and enjoyed the sports that came with our Wii. We also knew we wanted something that required movement (not playing sitting on the couch). The guy at the game...

A family "must have"

Date of Review:  Jan 14, 2008
The Bottom Line: Lots of variety, very challenging, up to 4 people can "compete" in most of the events using 1 remote. Fun for all ages.
Review: There are more than 20 different events to compete in, and most events are turn-based (up to 4 people can play, using one remote). The player you choose to be also greatly effects the play--some are more skilled, some have greater power, etc., but...
