Mario Kart Wii

I was so excited when this game came out for the Wii because I was a Gamecube Mario Kart junkie!!! This game does not disappoint. It has new levels along with old favorites from previous editions. The Karts are faster and the powers are better. Getting used to using the wheel took a little bit of time, but you can also use gamecube controllers or just the Wii remote and Nunchuk if you prefer. Automatic or manual drifting choices are available.

New characters are introduced such as Rosalina. You can also use your own Mii. In this game the makers added a bike along with many other vehicles. New powers include a Bullet Bill which catches you up to the crowd when you fall behind. The Mega mushroom makes you huge so that you can make up some ground when you have fallen behind. A Pow Block will cause your competitors to shrink and spin out of control. There are more boards than any other previous edition. Play single mode to unlock new levels, hardness, characters, and vehicles.

New improved Rainbow Road and Bowser's Castle!! My kids play this game for hours and hours and haven't gotten bored with it yet. A great kid friendly game that is well worth the money.
