This is one of the all time best game series from Nintendo, and to combine it with the playing style of the Wii makes an already perfect game that much better! The creators brought back old tracks from previous systems, such a N64, and Game Cube, as well as having created new tracks to play on.
The game comes with a Wii Wheel, in which you place the Wii remote. You steer like a real car, actually making turns. You can also play with the remote and the nunchuk, and not use the wheel. Everyone has their own preferences. I have found that with the car, it is easier to use the nunchuk, and that with the bikes, it’s better to use to the wheel.
The whole cast of classic Mario characters is present, and you can unlock a couple as well. You also can unlock extra vehicles. The game starts as having 16 tracks, 4 different cups of four tracks each, and as you win, and complete goals, you unlock a full 16 more!
A few of my favorite tracks are Rainbow Road, Moonlit Highway, and Coconut Mall. Though Rainbow Road is, to me, the most difficult track, it’s a gorgeously rendered world. Nintendo did a wonderful job with this game, and I couldn’t be happier!
32 Tracks, a huge cast of characters, and the ability to play on the Wii's Wi-Fi connection make for one of the best games released for the Wii!
