A well-designed, versatile router.

The Bottom Line: A very good router with tons of power and a few minor design flaws. Very adjustable, smooth operation, and solid construction make it about the best big router available.
Review: Most of my experience with routing has been with Porter Cable products, specifically their 2 hp D-handle router, which is a fine tool, and their monster 3hp, 17 lb plunge router, which is probably the all-around best large router on the market. I...

Makita tools let down by shoddy 3rd party accessories

The router itself is powerful and the electric brake stops it quickly but kicks-in so hard you need to take firm grip before releasing the switch.
