Great for the outdoors, good for driving

by   subsonix ,  Feb 1, 2006
Pros: Durable, dependable, attractive, practical, long battery life, easy to read backlit screen, good basemap
Cons: clock is GPS-derived
The Bottom Line: As my introduction to GPS technology, it was everything I hoped for and more. Forget Garmin and buy the 200, you'll love it.

Cons: Too light to be a paperweight, so it's pretty much useless.
The Bottom Line: Makes a great projectile - worthless as a GPS!
Review: I received this eXplorist 200 as a gift. I had all sorts of problems with it. On a run around an oval track, the track log showed me running 15 miles away from where I was in several directions. The track on the screen looked like a cartoon explosion! ...
