Easy to use

Glad I did not buy another brand based on features. At Circuit City I could play with all the models, and the sales manager recommended a Magellan, since I was (obviously) a first-time GPS user. We hit the road the next morning and my wife and I were able to use this model right out of the box -- and I usually don't touch anything without reading the user manual first.

It was so intuitive, and had all the features we needed for car trips. In fact, I put away my maps and relaxed -- the voice commands were loud and clear. Street names were all pronounced correctly. Easy to visualize next turn and to check upcoming maneuvers.

Wide screen is clear and bright. At night it seems to change to a black background, which is especially easy to read.

Quickly recomputes route when I chose another road (whether on purpose or otherwise). "Points of interest" are limited but helpful.
