Mag Lite 6D Cell Flashlight: The Big Daddy Of Flashlights!

MagLite 6D Cell Flashlight is the most reliable flashlight we have owned. My husband started using the MagLite brand when he first went into law enforcement 20 something years ago. It was the brand the officers carried because they were so durable. He quickly replaced other flashlights in our home with the MagLite brand.

This is the largest flashlight of the MagLite line. It is a heavy flashlight and weighs about 1.5 lbs. in my estimate. It is built solid with machined aluminum construction with knurled design on the handle. It is also anodized inside and out for improved corrosion resistance. It is both water and shock resistant containing a sealed o-ring to provide maximum protection against water resistance.

One of the advantages of the MagLite 6D Cell Flashlight is the high intensity light beam. It is adjustable and goes from spot to floodlight with 1/2 turn, cam action focus lens. There is a handy storage compartment in the tail cap where you can store a spare bulb. Replacement bulbs run about $12.00 each.

The MagLite 6D Cell Flashlight has a 3 position on/off switch which also allows a signal mode.

MagLite 6D Cell Flashlights are manufactured in the United States and may contain some imported parts. They all come with an individual serial number that can be registered with the company. Each flashlight comes with a lifetime limited warranty if purchased in the western hemisphere or Japan and a 10 year warranty if purchased elsewhere.

My Experience With MagLite 6D Cell Flashlight

I love this flashlight. It is the most powerful flashlight I've ever used. The beam is very bright and gives you a full range of lighting in the dark. We keep this flashlight on hand for emergencies during hurricane season. It is also useful for those middle of the night trips outside to see what all the dogs are barking at.

This is a very durable flashlight and the only one you should ever need. It will last a lifetime if treated with love and attention. Ours has been dropped numerous times and this usually causes no damage at all, not even a blown bulb.

My one complaint is the weight. It is very heavy for a lady or kids to pack around. But then again if you need to whack an intruder, this will do the job!

Recommendation

I highly recommend the MagLite 6D Cell Flashlight. It is the ONLY flashlight you will need if properly cared for. And it is heavy enough to use as a billy stick if needed. I give MagLite 6D Cell Flashlights 5 Stars!
