You want to be a made man.

From the moment that you see your character standing outside is Taxi Cab, Mafia draws you in. What you have is an entire 1920s city that is yours to explore and pillage on your rode to becoming a made man.

GAMEPLAY
Mafia is controlled from a third person perspective and a surprisingly good one at that. The camera works well around your movements and you are never stuck behind an object while your walking around. Combat works out very well. Aiming is much easier in this game than in most 3rd person shooters. It almost feels like combat is a meld between first and third person perspective. The only problem with combat is that there are very few dodging options. Its a little to easy to get hit. The driving controls are very smooth. Nothing beets racing around the city with a cop car on your trail.

The game has an excellent story mode, complete with beautiful cut scenes and in game graphics. There is also a free driving mode, and a special free driving mode that needs to be unlocked.

GRAPHICS AND SOUND
The Graphics really put you in the setting of the game. It feels like your actually back in time. The stores, cars, and characters all look the time period. The sound, while nothing amazing, is decent and will keep you focused in on the action. I especially like the score, it was very well done.

Mafia is an experience that needs to been to behold. As soon as you grab your tommy gun and race off on a job for the boss your not going to want to put this game down until youve finished it.
