Madden 06 is far from the sticks. A must-play

Electronic Arts (EA) Sports continued their excellence in the realm of game play when they released the 2006 edition of the Madden Football series.

Donovan McNabb brands the cover art of the case and was a feature in the marketing of the game. The curse of Madden continued into live game play as McNabb had a disappointing season and proved once again that whoever takes the cover of Madden Football be jinxed. As for the game, the Nintendo DS Lite continues to be a great product and this game only enhances the experience.

Well worth the price at time of purchase (as I suspect prices have lowered and the game can be found in 'used' stores), the game has really held it's value!

The game doesn't have to remain limited to the 2005-2006 season rosters and can be upgraded to any future season through the 'roster change' feature. It has to be manually ungraded by the user but still an excellent feature.

The resolution on the DS screens isn't lost when viewing the menu pages, along with the action sequence scenes during game play.

I've enjoyed the option to build new offensive and defensive plays by infusing them into my favorite coach's play-book and setting specific players to run those routes. For example, Santana Moss could run a post-up play, a route run regularly run in this past 2008 season.

The only negative I could see in the purchase of this product is if you're either not a fan of the National Football League or you want players newer players already loaded to your game.
