Madden NFL 2004: Do Not Purchase Unless.....

by   hwz1 ,  Aug 4, 2003
Pros: Graphics, sound, owner mode, leagues, reality of it all
Cons: Controls take the beginner a while to get accustomed to
The Bottom Line: A wonderful game that is becoming more and more real.
Review: Ok, I am usually not one to write epinions on video games. In fact, this is probably the first on I ...

Bustin' Out For a Big Gain: Madden 2004

by   shilmafone ,  Oct 6, 2003
Pros: Good graphics, good gameplay, lots (LOTS) of features
Cons: Typically stilted speech engine
The Bottom Line: Madden 2004 is an excellent entry in the fabled series. I'm glad I finally got around to buying a video football game, because this is fantastic.
Review: Ahh, football. Today I can once again claim a love for football, as my beloved Buffalo Bills have shown that, at the very least, they can beat the Cincinnati Bengals. Sure, it took them a final-drive fourth down conversion and an overtime period--but at ...

Satisfying EA Purists Like Me: Madden 2005

by   beekd91 ,  Nov 1, 2005
Pros: Finally, defensive and offensive balance. Lots to do, and it's worth doing.
Cons: Tony Bruno. A lot of little things.
The Bottom Line: Flaws...great gameplay...ummm...a great reason for epinions to add half-star ratings. 4 1/2 stars in my book.
Review: There are things and people that certain people love to hate. Some people hate the Yankees (like yours truly). Some people hate the infamous genre of music known as emo (again, like me). And when you delve into videogames, the massive company known as ...

Owning the NFL!

by   givememyleg ,  Aug 20, 2004
Pros: Amazing gameplay, many new features, Franchise mode!
Cons: BORING commentary, and lagging.
The Bottom Line: Rent this game. If you like it, BUY it. There are hundreds of hours to invest in this game without getting bored. Best damn sports game I have ever played!
Review: Madden has topped itself once again. Being (in my opinion) the most dominating and realistic football game, my expectations for this game were very high. I couldn't believe that they actually could make it better. Well, enough with that talk, ...

EA undergoes offseason conditioning and returns in fine shape

by   onetuffcowboy ,  Sep 11, 2003
Pros: Deepest Franchise mode ever, spot-on controls, Playmaker, feature.
Cons: Funky-looking players.
The Bottom Line: Madden NFL 2004 brings the king of gridiron action back to the top of the pile, and any football junkie will be in heaven after playing it.
Review: This is a review of the Xbox version of Madden NFL 2004, since there's no listing on this site for the Xbox version of the game. While EA's Madden series is the undisputed king of videogame sports, I found the last few outings to ...

Madden 2005- - - Are you seriously thinking about not buying this game?

by   snowjackle900 ,  Dec 16, 2004
Pros: new defensive features, same classic madden gameplay, online capabilities
Cons: I wasn't aware this game had any cons?
The Bottom Line: Madden 2005 is the most revolutionary sports game out there. Most games emphasize offense, in this game defense is made fun.
Review: Madden 2005 is the single greatest football game ever! With a new emphasis on defense this game shows great improvement from any installment in the Madden series. The new online abilities also add to the flavor of this game. If you love football your ...

EA sports has another great game under its belt

by   johnnathan30 ,  Dec 30, 2003
Pros: great graphics, playmaker control + owner mode are awesome
Cons: The commentary is very repetative and annoying. needs a lot of memory space to save
The Bottom Line: great graphics, playmaker control owner mode are awesome, but the commentary gets really annoying. Still reccommend it though
Review: EA sports has done it again and made another great sports game. With the all new features such as Playmaker control and Owner mode, Madden 2004 is by far the best sports game out there now. FRANCHISE- There are many parts to franchise mode. You ...

Madden 2005....The Legend Continues

by   Dude123 ,  Aug 10, 2004
Pros: Realistic, Easy Learning Curve, Excellent Replay Value, Excellent Multiplayer.
Cons: Sound and calls can be repetitive at times, overwise excellent.
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent bang for your buck, go out and buy it, it will be the only football game you need for a long time. (or until Madden 2006!)
Review: ~First thing first, before reading this review I'd just like to tell you how I like to do things, I write reviews that are to the point and tell you the truth about the game, they sum it up as well as possible so you can spend your time reading other ...

John Madden; bad guy; good game.

by   givememyleg ,  Feb 21, 2004
Pros: Great graphics, gameplay, and the realism compared to an actual NFL game.
Cons: Glitchy at times, may consume a lot of your spare time!
The Bottom Line: If you like football, you will like Madden 2004. The flow of the game amazes me, it is like you are Michael Vick!
Review: I have never really been attracted to the Madden series. I have played a few on them on SNES, playstation 1, but I never really like the flow of the gameplay. That's why when my friend asked me to play a game on Madden 2004, I was already bashing it ...
