Well, I THOUGHT I was going to beat Chrono Cross tonight...

Date of Review:  Aug 25, 2000
Review: Mad Catz... a name that should've foreshadowed the events to come, but I didn't know. Here's my story, I'll try to make it brief but thorough.

About three months ago, I went to my local "Software Etc." to purchase a new Playstation memory...

Why buy the Sony?

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2001
The Bottom Line: Cheaper than the OEM Sony and officially licensed. No reason not to get it. No extra CD to load first like other aftermarket cards.
Review: Having just blown $240 for the console and another $50 for a game, I was looking to save some bucks on the accessories. Looking at the memory cards, I noticed several models. However, I knew that the original Playstation had some aftermarket memory...

No problems yet

Date of Review:  Dec 29, 2000
The Bottom Line: It's a great alternative to the Sony brand. It's cheaper, just as reliable and works the same. The odd shape may not fit in some holders.
Review: You finally snagged the elusive PS2 and need to get a memory card for it, so you look at the rack and side by side is the official Sony card and the generic MadCatz card.

Sony is Sony. You know it will be sturdy and dependable. You also...

A cheaper buy than Sony label....

Date of Review:  Sep 20, 2001
The Bottom Line: Great for its price...Will do the job you need with ease!
Review: Obviously, everybody needs a memory card to go with a gaming system. It's not possible to enjoy games to there max without one. But who's willing to shell out the 37 bucks to pick one up? Especially after spending the 310 on the PS2 itself? No one...

Inexpensive Alternative

Date of Review:  Apr 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: Inexpensive and worth a try even though they have a bad rep amongst most gamers.
Review: I don't like to spend a lot of money on accessories for my Playstations. I usually go third party on everything except the controllers. For some reason, I like Mad Catz memory cards.

I've own only a couple over the last 4 years and I have...

Mad Catz 8megabyte memory card, a good alternative to sony.

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2001
The Bottom Line: The Mad Catz Memory Card is cheaper, yet just as durable as the Sony Card, plus it looks a lot better.
Review: I have been shopping around for the best PS2 prices on everything. I unfortunately bought the first mad catz memory card i saw, and about an hour later i saw it five bucks cheaper at walmart. oh well.

Mad Catz is a great company with a...

Cheaper, and the SAME EXACT THING.

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2001
The Bottom Line: Get this if you want to save money, and get a cooler looking card to. If you are some wierd fanatic and can only get sony products, then get it.
Review: This is a review on the mad catz ps2 memory card. First of all I am new to Sony consoles, and coming from a n64, so i dont understand why you have to pay $20+ to save your game, because nintendo offers memory packs for less than $10.
Anyways,...
