I do not have too much to say about the wheel except to say I have tried three different wheels and this is a close number three.
To put this in the proper light, I should tell you the other two were both Logitech steering wheels. The Logitech Force Feedback steering wheel and the LOGITECH DRIVING FORCE PRO STEERING WHEEL ( which has 900 degree steering). The other wheels cost a bit more and with the exception of the LOGITECH DRIVING FORCE PRO (which costs quite a bit more), are probably not worth the extra money. Especially if you are of the mind that Wheels and pedal do not make for better scores and driving. The main thing you need to understand about the difference in a wheel/pedal set up and a controller is with a controller your gas and or/brake buttons (and steering wheel to a lesser extent) are pretty much an ON or OFF situation. With pedals you have variable speed, just like in your real car. How do you think driving your real vehicle would be if your gas and brake were either full on or full off. That is one reason a wheel/pedal is superior to a controller. The other main benefit is the steering. Along the same lines as the gas & brake pedals, with a controller you have less than 1/2" of movement from dead straight to full turn. Again imagine driving your real car with a controller/analog stick. Which brings up a big drawback in this wheel, only 180 degrees of steering, which makes the "true race feeling" a bit of unrealistic as the majority of race cars have at least 360 degree of travel Formula One type cars are the exception. But you can't have everything for this kind of money!
Okay why do I like this particular wheel? It has almost all of the features of the more expensive models and is very responsive & tight when it comes to the steering. The pedals work like they should i.e. gentle pressure on the gas doesn't mean it is full speed ahead (analog), and same with the brakes, jam them to the floor and your tires will be squealing, gentle pressure and you slow down.(again analog)
