Much better strollers out there for much less than $99
Date of Review: Jul 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: Problems include: no sunshade, no one hand fold, awful designed difficult buckle, no recline, no seat fabric, no basket, etc.
We received this as a gift but would never have bought it on our own. Here's a list of the pros & cons with this stroller that I have noticed running it around the house & trying to put my baby in it.
Pros:
Quality small tires
Lightweight (only 8lbs)
5 point harness
Good for tall people since handles extra long
Cons:
Buckle really hard to open & hurts my hands to open (need pliers)
No fabric seat is maybe good for places like Disney World where it is hot (but plastic mesh hurts & patterns baby's skin)
No shade protection (start working on Melanoma for your baby)
No storage basket
No cup holder
No reline setting
No one-hand fold
Complicated to figure out how to fold
Does not stand on own when folded (must lay on ground or lean against a wall)
$49 extra to buy the accessory kit that includes sun protector, basket & seat padding.
Instead, for $39 at Target, I bought the Avila by Safety First to use as my lightweight stroller. Much better deal. My VOLO is going on Craigslist.com as another useless baby product giveaway in next few days. The VOLO never even made it out of the house & is still brand new if anyone wants & is in SF bay area.
