Author's Review
I am in love with this stroller. It's amazing. When shopping for double strollers, I knew I didn't even want to consider a front/back tandem stroller because of the size and bulk. We have a small car and I don't think one would even fit in our trunk, let alone the fact that I just can't imagine enjoying pushing one of those things around. So we started looking for side-by-side strollers, and while we wouldn't have been able to afford a brand new Maclaren, I was lucky enough to come across one on our local Craigslist.
This stroller is incredible. With my daughter we had a big, bulky travel system stroller, and I was afraid we'd lose a lot of the features that we liked with that one when going to an umbrella-style stroller. However, the Mac Twin Techno has it all!! There are good sized storage baskets underneath each seat, and snap-in cupholders (they came with ours, not sure if they're standard) on the back for parents. The reclining seats are a feature that can't be found on many other umbrella-style strollers, as is the 5-pt harness. The footrests extend out, so when reclined it's perfect for a tiny baby, while an older toddler can sit contently in the other seat. The boots are easy to attach for cold weather, and they're thick and warm. We've never had an issue with fitting the stroller through doorways, and it's definitely one of the narrower side-by-side strollers out there.
The best feature, for us, is how compact the stroller folds up to be. It also has a convenient carrying strap to tote it around when folded. Also, I've yet to find another stroller that pushes as smoothly as this one, and that is just the right height. My husband and I are about 5'8" and 6', and regular umbrella strollers are always uncomfortably short for us. So it's nice to have one where we're not pushing it around while hunched over.
