Best Double Stroller worth the $$$
Date of Review: Apr 3, 2008
The Bottom Line: It could fold easier, have more storage, and parent cup holder, but it makes up for everything it lacks with its good looks, accessories, compact fold, and ease of maneuvering.
Ok, the perfect double stroller doesn't exist. That is why I am writing this review. I cannot tell you how many stores I went to, how many strollers I tested out, and how many reviews I read to try to find a twin or tandem stroller with all the features I was looking for. I have a toddler & a newborn. The 1st double stroller I purchased was a tandem and I soon realized it was almost impossible to turn and too heavy to push just around the block. Thank goodness I was able to return it. When reading reviews I didn't pay attention to the Maclaren because it was out of my price range. My husband & I happened to find it on sale, over 1/2 off at Babies R Us. At first I decided it was too hard to fold & I didn't want it but my husband talked me into getting it anyway. I am so thankful I got it anyway. The aluminum frame does feel stiff at 1st but with a little use it becomes easy to fold & unfold and it makes the stroller more light weight & very durable. The other twin strollers I tested felt wobbly not secure & strong like this. All the extras make this stroller feel luxurious, like the matching foot muff to keep your babies warm, and the rain guard that really comes in handy. It is very light for a double, easy to push. Fits through standard doors, and most isles when shopping. Easy to turn. It folds very compact making it very easy to store or fit in any trunk. The handle makes it easy to carry when folded. The babies enjoy riding side by side. The Techno has a very sleek and modern look getting complements everywhere we go. There is no parent cup holder, so we did by a cup holder attachment and I do not like that the lower storage compartment is divided in 2 but all the side by side strollers I looked at were also built that way.
