Author's Review

Ok so i ran this amp and I was powering 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 's 6.5 (100w rms 4 ohm) and two Kappa Series 692.7 6x9's (110w rms @ 2 ohm) and they sounded nice.  I was happy with the clarity but i had to have the gain about 3/4 up and no more as it would start to become unclear.  Considering everything was unpowered and i pretty much gave the amp a beating and its still working fine id say its a good little sucker.  I however upgraded to a JL and I would say the JL is alot nicer, Ive also heard the same setup with an Alpine PDX 4.150 and the JL is better.  I wouldnt bother with the Alpine if your looking that way they pretty much were the same, the bigger TC6004 would be the same as the PDX 4.150.  Id say for the money the MTX does a very good job and if your trying to save go with that u will be happy with how your system sounds and your amp will never clip out!  Also the manufucture underated this amp the test specs i got were like 66x4 @ 4 ohms and based on my setup id say the amp did just that.  I had some other speakers in the Front they were infinity Kappa's at 90w rms @ 2ohm and i blew them esialy off this amp so watch out
