Play A Ballgame At The Ballgame - MLB

Date of Review:  Apr 18, 2005
The Bottom Line: Roar.
Review: 989 Sports has been quite a busy developer since the release of the PSP last month. At launch alone, SCEA's sports division released Gretzky NHL, World Tour Soccer, and NBA, as they begin fresh in an attempt to make people forget the rocky and...

MLB 08 The Show for PSP - Baseball You Can Take With You

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2008
The Bottom Line: MLB 08 The Show for PSP is a realistic baseball game with great graphics.
Review: My ten year old son's favorite things are video games and sports, so when he received some money for his fifth grade graduation, MLB 08 The Show for PSP was what he wanted to spend it on.

In this game there are seven ways to play:...

989 has made a decent game for the first time in eight years

Date of Review:  Oct 29, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you're a fan of baseball, this is the game to get for PSP. It'll provide a better experience than the competition and keep you occupied for months.
Review: Well, it took a long time, but I've finally played a decent portable baseball game. That's not to say that this game is spectacular. It just gets the job done. Before MLB was released, I did not want to touch it with a forty-foot pole. Since 1999,...

989 Studios Swings for the fences with MLB

Date of Review:  Aug 11, 2005
The Bottom Line: If your looking for a baseball game for your PSP go with MLB. Its fun it looks great and it has a lot of replay vaulue.
Review: When I first heard that MLB was coming to the PSP I was excited to say the least. The idea of being able to pick up and play a full season of Major League Baseball with no compromise is what the PSP is all about.

Graphics: The first thing...

Worst Baseball Game I Have ever played

Date of Review:  Apr 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: Avoid this terrible offering from 989 and wait for MVP
Review: MLB for PSP is simply awful. The framerate is low, the graphics are choppy, there are not many modes, and the long awaited online modes dont work.

The framerate for MLB for PSP is very low. The game runs very choppy and even skips. The...

Needs work

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2008
Review: This game is overall good, and the Career mode is addicting. The online mode is useless. If you do get into a game it will end due to latency before getting to the forth inning. Also, I played an entire AA season as a catcher in career mode and...
