Great Camera for the "everyday" picture taker

Date of Review:  Jul 6, 2005
The Bottom Line: Perfect for the on the go and enthusiasts. You can not beat this camera with cameras twice the price.
Review: Small size, big features. I am not a Professional by any means when it comes to photography, but I do like to take pictures of family, Auctions, etc. This is my second digital camera. My first was a Canon A95. It took decent pictures but the battery...

Great camera for the price, w/ lot of features!!

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a great picture-taking camera with the added ability to record to some video
Review: My sweetie backed over his last camera with the car, thus prompting our need for a new one.

It's been a year since we've purchased the LZ2 and we love it! It's like having a fancy camera and a camcorder -- in one small package! We've taken...

Excellent 5MP in its class - value for money

Date of Review:  Feb 27, 2006
The Bottom Line: GREAT PRICE FOR 5MP WITH IMAGE STABILIZATION 6X ZOOM IN ITS CLASS. WORKS ON 2 AA BATTERIES. GOOD ENOUGH MANUAL FEATURES TOO
Review: There is a proliferation of digital cameras in the industry. In my opinion, at the time of writing, they can be broadly categorized as

1. super small size digital cameras with all point and shoot
camera features plus some advance...

Excellent digital camera

Date of Review:  May 24, 2005
Review: Panasonic blows the big name competitors away with this model digital camera. This is the only compact digital camera on the market to offer 6x optical zoom. It is also the only camera in this price range equipped with image stabilization and all...

Better than much more expensive cameras

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2006
Review: According to Panasonic, the camera supports up to 20 MB/s write speeds to SD, so it can take advantage of the fastest commercially available SD (Panasonic 40X or Sandisk Extreme). The lens is simply outstanding for its class, better than that on...

Great camera

Date of Review:  Nov 29, 2006
Review: Love the features, quality of pictures, ease of use, quality of camera. All around a great camera. I liked it so much I bought one for my mother, that should tell you it is not to complicated to use.

What's Not to Like?!

Date of Review:  Aug 18, 2005
The Bottom Line: Excellent first digital camera. Also a convenient second camera for those with large DSLR's. Panasonic is on a role.
Review: If you are looking for a little pocket or purse camera with a reasonably long zoom and image stabilization, you have only a few choices, all from Panasonic: the LZ2 (5MP), the 4MP LZ1 and the stylish FX9. I purchased the LZ2 as a second camera. It...

Great Starter Camera Marred By Flaws

Date of Review:  Feb 25, 2007
The Bottom Line: The DMC Lumix has a few problems. However, it is jam packed with features that make it a worthy starter camera for beginners looking for their first digital camera.
Review: Ahhh, Panasonic DMC-LZ2... you coulda been something. Ya coulda been a contender. Instead you are a near perfect camera whose flaws outstrip its strengths, to the point where I can't recommend it as nothing more than a good starter camera.
