Great Upgrade from Point and Shooter

I bought this camera for my wife after seeing her struggle with the limitations of her Canon A60. Don't get me wrong the Cannon A series take geat pictures. But the benifits of the faster lense, zoom, lower shutter lag, additional megapixel, and better flash do really make a difference.

My wife at first was actually upset when I bought her the camera for Mother's day saying she didn't need a camera and wanted to return it. But after taking one set of pictures, she fell in love with it and now continual says comments on how great the camera is and how it feels like a real camera.

The Zoom is great for school event pictures. And while Anti-shake works great with the zoom, another benefit is you can take indoor pictures without flash now and they look far more natural than flash pictures.

While did contimplate, getting a D70 or Canon Rebel, the size of the Lumix was a big advantage as she can keep the camera in her purse.

She only wish is the camera would come with a softcase to protect the finish because she doesn't want her favorite toy to get damage.
