Made the right choice

by   lucky13mn ,  Mar 5, 2006
Pros: Many features that actually work, great display and sound.
Cons: No external antenna jack, but a re-radiating antenna works wonders.
The Bottom Line: Worth ever penny! By far one of the best electronic gadgets I've bought so far.
Review: The iWay 350c is better than I imagined... which is impressive since I'm kind of a gadget junkie. Even with its size it's still very easy to read. The voice is very clear and it's 'read' to me most of the streets I've been to so far. Tested it last ...

Great GPS for a good price.

by   marine011956 ,  Jan 12, 2006
Pros: A truly portable GPS that you can use almost anywhere.
Cons: There are two places I have not found out how to find yet.
The Bottom Line: I think this is a great GPS that has many features found on units costing much more. I think most anyone would be happy with it.
Review: After spending weeks looking over different GPS receivers, I settled on the Lowrance iWay 350C. It had all the things I wanted for a reasonable price. I especially liked the idea that it had enough internal memory that I don't need to download maps to ...

Pros: large screen, pleasant female voice, preferences can omit tollways
Cons: Synching satellites slow, installing update > 1 hour, address entry awkward
The Bottom Line: Great for someone who is new to a city and like to explore.
Review: I have owned the iWay 350C for about 8 months now, having purchased it after moving to Princeton NJ. It works pretty well overall and I have become a fearless traveler with my trusty GPS. It has two power modes: full shutdown and standby. I prefer ...

Great little unit

by   whec716co ,  May 30, 2007
Pros: bright screen. excellent voice directions. intuitive use.
Cons: first unit returned after it wouldn't acquire satellite. Lowrance never paid my 50 dollar rebate.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended because of ease of use, low cost, bright screen, excellent voice directions and accurate directions.
Review: I've owned an iWAY 350 for over a year and have driven throughout the U.S. with it... with no problem (after first unit was returned). Particularly like using it in the challenging to drive D.C. area where it always takes me where I want to go. I ...

Great Product, Minor Tradeoffs

by   smykal ,  Oct 15, 2006
Pros: Price, Accurate POI, Up-to-date Maps
Cons: Time to aquire satellites, No Text-To-Speech
Review: This product really sets the bar for low-price, mid-range in-car GPS systems. The POIs are up-to-date for my area (Including a shopping center [with stores] built in the last year), the directions are accurate, and the maps themselves seem to be ...

Review: I got my IWAY 350c in Jan 2006, Plug and work well for me. Mounting is not as good and easy as Tom Tom 300. Try to go to Circuit City at Mountain View Ca, It lead me to a wrong shopping mall at Grand Rd. They moved two years ago. Also it not as easy ...

Poor Support from Lowrance

by   iccohen ,  Jun 6, 2007
Pros: Decent options for basic GPS device
Cons: Poor customer service, some unintuitive functions
The Bottom Line: OK for a starter unit, but should be a GPS you upgrade from, not upgrade to. Hopefully you won't deal with Lowrance.
Review: I like the unit, as it delivers all that I need in this type of device. Again, for a base unit it offers decent bang for the buck. However, I am so disgusted with Lowrance's poor Customer Service, that I definitely will not buy another model from ...
