Lowrance LMS-525C DF GPS / Sonar

The Lowrance LMS-525C is a great Looking unit and looks like a lot of bang for the buck. WRONG. I purchased a unit with my new boat in April 2008. Boat looks and works great. Lowrance unit looks great but does not aquire any satillites, thus it doesn't work. No problem it is under warrenty and boat dealer will take care of it. After several attmepts by me and my boat dealer to contact Lowrance and trouble shoot problem with unit, the lowrance still doesn't work. Now dealer is going to send unit in for repairs and lowrance is saying it will take approximately 6 weeks to repair a unit that is BRAND NEW and has NEVER worked. So, after 10's of hours waiting to talk to a customer service representative at LOWRANCE the unit is still not working and my unit is in for repairs. Do not buy this unit or any other products from this company. After doing a internet search for similar problems with this unit, there seems to be several hundreds of people with the same exact problem.
