Lynch's twisty, dazzling HIGHWAY

Date of Review:  Feb 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: For all of its pretentiousness, the film is a one of a kind, exhilarating neo-noir.
Review: The first time I saw David Lynch's Lost Highway, I loved the exhilaratingly unpredictible experience of it. But I couldn't honestly say that I understood all that I saw.

A few months later, after being spellbound by Lynch's Mulholland...

LOST HIGHWAY: An Annoted Review

Date of Review:  Aug 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you like weird scary movies check this one out. It's kinda funny too (in a weird scary way).
Review: There are minor spoilers. There are footnotes.

Finally the film that explores the horrors of premature ejaculation!

With LOST HIGHWAY, Lynch pulls back the sheets and blows his strobes across the dark, private nightmares of a...

The best artistic film ever.

Date of Review:  Aug 1, 2002
The Bottom Line: Unmatched atmosphere and fantastic performences.
Review: Fugue: Musically a piece that starts in one form, takes up a complettely new one only to return to it's original form at the end. Or Psychologically when a person undergoes great trauma they may retreat into their mind and take on a completely new...

In Search of the Lost Highway

Date of Review:  Jun 21, 2000
Review: David Lynch's "Lost Highway" stands as a modern film noir masterpiece. Like the most brilliant paintings or songs, the film lets the audience play nearly as an important role as the artist. The viewer must decide how to interpret the bizarre,...

Tarantino is a sissy

Date of Review:  Oct 16, 2000
Review: Sometimes films are intended to lift you up, fill you with hope and joie de vivre. This is most certainly not one of those films. David Lynch delivers us another sinister glimpse of his inner workings in this film that redefines all the rules...

Help on the way!

Date of Review:  Oct 7, 2003
The Bottom Line: See it, if you want to expand your mind
Review: "Lost Highway" by David Lynch stands out as one of the filmmaker`s milestones, having all the ingredients needed for a feast for imagination: the mystery, the psychosis, the drama. It is no surprise that the people there have some many faces, and...

The Ultimate Art Movie

Date of Review:  Jun 6, 2001
The Bottom Line: A great movie that is as disturbing and confusing as it is beautiful and genius.
Review: This is the best movie I have ever seen. This movie has as many turns, plot twists, and deep thinking parts, as one can desire. The plot has no weak holes, no unnecessary Hollywood fill-ins, and it keeps you wondering the entire way through. I have...

It will suck your brains out like a Zombie!

Date of Review:  Feb 15, 2000
Review: First a little background: it's Christmas Day, I'm surrounded by deranged relatives, I sneak away to a backroom for a few moments of solace and mindlessly start to flip through my grandparents 80000 satellite channels. All of the sudden I stumble...

Road to Nowhere: Lost Highway

Date of Review:  Dec 1, 1999
Review: Twin femme fatale porn stars, a gory biological transmogifrication, and a multi-dimensional voyeuristic midget in face paint: Yes, David Lynch is being weird again. The director of such classic oddities as Blue Velvet, Dune, Eraserhead, Wild at...

Lost Highway to Hell

Date of Review:  Jun 20, 2000
Review: I've never been the type of person who can carry on a deep, philosophical conversation with a ball of yarn. I mean, for all I know, balls of yarn are the keepers of the Universe's secrets, but I will never know because I would sooner ram my head...
