The ultimate 80's vampire flick

It's late Friday night. You feel like a vampire flick, but not a good one has come out in awhile and certainly none in theaters. What do you do? you get your a$$ over to the nearest video store and rent this classic film. LOST BOYS could easily be one of the greatest vampire films of all time. Why? Because it puts a teen spin on the genre usually reserved for thousand year-old lords of the undead. Not only does it have a plentiful amount of frights, but it even adds a much-needed humorous side to it as well.
Kiefer Sutherland plays a great head Vampire, with all of his 80's style and class, he maintains a cool charm and powerful control over the others. You'll really enjoy the other vampires as well (Bill from "Bill and Ted..." fame is in there!), who all are great actors that work great together.
Corey Feldman and his friend play the Frog Brothers, a hilarious duo of teenage comic store owners who are vampire hunters by night, and Corey Haim is a great protagonist who slowly begins to believe the two when they tell him the real reason their city is the "murder capitol of the world."
The movie has a great, never-before-used plot with tons of twists, especially at the end, managing to split up the frightful parts with some humor (usually from the Frog brothers), and a great 80's soundtrack that fits in perfectly with what's happening onscreen.
Yeah, it does go a little far wit the 80's attitudes, styles, haircuts, etc...but if you can look past that, you'll really find a gem of a movie. Maybe this deserves 4-4 1/2 stars, but I can't help but kind of enjoy the 80's aspect.
