Protect, Carry & Play the PSP in Style.

WHAT IS IT & WHY DID I BUY IT ?

When I got the PSP, I was told that the screen can easily get scratched. So I wanted to buy some sort of protective case for it. I purchased a basic travel case that had space for the PSP, 4 UMD disks and 2 memory sticks. However I had to take the PSP out everytime to charge it. The second case I got was an all metal case by Nyko. It is keeps the PSP completely dust free in a hard metal shell with a soft inner neoprene lining. However I still had the same problem of needing to remove the PSP to play or charge. That is when I read the reviews on the Logitech Playgear Pocket case for the PSP. I purchased it for $12.99 + shipping on eBay.

WHAT'S HOT ?

User Friendly Design:
The case is designed to provide full functionality and complete access to the PSP controls without taking the PSP out of the case. The PSP can be connected to the AC adapter for charging while in the case. You can also connect headphones and listen to MP3s while the PSP in in the case. In order to play a game, all you have to do is flip up the top cover and begin playing. However you will need to take the unit out of the case completely in order to change UMD disks, or change batteries.

Solid Protection for your PSP:
The outer shell is made of a clear hard and rigid polycarbonate plastic. There are precision cut slots to access headphone and AC adapter ports, the power/standby button, and the WiFi button. There are slots at the top to access the Left & Right shoulder buttons as well. There is a soft neoprene inner lining, which prevents the PSP from scratches & shock if accidentally dropped.

Converts into a stand:
The top lid has a sturdy hinge that allows the cover to be swung open upto 270 degrees in the back. The Playgear Pocket can then be used as a stand in order to watch movies. The screen is at a pleasant angle and still allows for headphones to be plugged in at the bottom. This is simply an invaluable feature on a long flight. When done, you simply snap the lid shut and store the PSP in the front seat pouch.

WHAT'S NOT ?
- The PSP must be removed from the case in order to change UMD disks, or access the battery compartment. Not a big deal!
- Does not keep the PSP completely dust free like the Nyko extruded aluminum case.
- No onboard storage for UMDs or memory sticks. But then again, the Playgear Pocket was designed to allow playability while in the case.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
The Logitech Playgear Pocket is one of the more user friendly cases available for the PSP. It has an excellent balance between protection of the PSP, and providing access to various ports and functions on the PSP while still in the case.
