Wireless Love

I bought this mouse to replace another cordless that came with a cordless keyboard. That original mouse ate batteries for breakfast lunch and dinner. This LX5 is a dream.

Until recently I was needing a new hip. Because of this, I couldn't sit for long periods anywhere, let alone at a desk. I spent much of my time in my recliner. A corded mouse didn't work well in this situation. So I purchased the original combination cordless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard hasn't been a problem with batteries, after a year or more I'm still on the original batteries. That mouse, devoured them. I had to replace it. I purchased 2 that Logitech said had fixed the battery eating problem. I haven't had to even try the other one. I plugged in the LX5 and fell in love. Still on the original batteries (after 2 1/2 months), and I don't always turn it off.

Oh, did I forget to mention, it has an on/off switch. It's great. It also has a battery level indicator on the top of the mouse. No window popping up to tell you the battery level is low. I really hated that window with the other mouse. It never failed to pop up at the worst time possible.

The only complaint I have with this mouse is that it doesn't work well on all surfaces. I had a white cutting board I used with the old battery eater that makes this mouse blind. That cutting board is now being used as a cutting board, which is why I bought it for before turning it into a desktop.
