Blown Away by the Harmony 670!

We love this remote! Our video setup includes a Panasonic Plasma TV, a Yamaha Receiver, a cable-company (Rogers/Scientific Atlanta) PVR and an LG DVD Recorder.

Desperate for an answer to our 4-remote video setup but still feeling the sting of previous attempts to consolidate with great skepticism we set about investigating alternatives. After some online research we decided to purchase the Harmony 670 and give it a shot (but keep the packaging and receipts at the ready).

Imagine our surprise when 30 minutes after bringing it through the door it was loaded, connected and fully functioning! We’re moderately computer literate but not nerds by any stretch… the setup of this device was NOT complicated at all.

Incredible level of user-friendliness
Attractive appearance (in our opinion)
Powerful Soft-Keys which appear as required in the LCD display
Backlight makes the keys easy to read in low-light
Keys made of hard plastic not rubberized making them rugged and difficult for our parrot to pick off and eat ;-)
Simple to add new components
Our 60/70 yr old parents (and anyone else who pops over) will now be able to use our TV

In all seriousness, our previous setup was so convoluted that NOONE except my husband and I could turn our TV on, never mind control it. Those days appear to be over now.
