Background:
I've been gaming for 23 years, and I play pretty hard. I've worn out many stock and aftermarket controllers, on quite a few systems. We purchased two of these Logitech Cordless Action Controllers (for PS2) as part of our child-proofing project, as our twins recently started walking.
Pros:
Cordless luxury. Nicely weighted, with outstanding ergonomics and button feel. A comfortable choice for gaming marathons. Excellent range with NO lag time!
Cons:
Powered by standard 'AA' batteries, so occasional battery replacement is a necessity. Maybe just a little less sensitivity in the analog sticks.
Summary:
The feel when pushing down on the analog sticks, whatever that 'button' is called, is a little harsh. However, the force required prevents you from doing it accidentally, so it's acceptable.
Fast, relatively complex button sequences (e.g. SSX 3 Monster Tricks) are simple to execute on this controller, whereas they were almost painful on the standard PS2 controllers. I no longer have to adjust my grip to pull off certain tricks/combinations.
Why deal with cords when these controllers exist? I'm kicking myself for not getting them sooner!!
