Author's Review
I purchased the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere speaker system about 3 weeks ago and have really enjoyed using this system.
Sound Quality
The sound quality is great. Songs are very clear and balanced, even at higher volumes. Although the system lacks bass (as one would expect from smaller stereo systems), it does deliver a solid amount of bass. This is impressive as none of my other small iPod speaker systems have any bass whatsoever. Logitech has done an admirable job of capturing as full and clear a sound as possible - This is the main strength of these speakers. When listening to Jazz, I can actually decipher some of the texture and depth in the song. The system does a nice job of displaying the layers of the music like drums, sax, bass in a clear and true fashion. In addition, you can really crank up the volume on this system, and it will deliver a loud enough sound to fill a hotel room, or be audible outside during a picnic.
Operation
The system is not as intuitive to operate as you would think. There are a limited number of controls on the speaker itself (on/off, repeat, shuffle, and volume) and that's it. In fact, you must select songs on your iPod itself. Also, after docking your iPod, you must hit play on the iPod to start playing a song, you can't just press a play button on the speaker system. They do include a remote, but my remote has not worked at all since I opened the box.
Remote
The remote is simply awful. It feels very cheaply made and seems like it was designed as an after thought. It has all the buttons you would expect to be able to control the iPod remotely, but I don't know if Logitech gave me a dead batter (it takes a C2025), or if the remote is just broken. When I get around to going to the store I'll try to pick up a new battery, but this remote is simply useless.
Battery & Power Adapter
This unit has a built in 10-hour rechargeable batter, which works great. It took me about 3 hours to fully charge the battery, and the speakers run for a long time (haven't fully tested the 10-hour claim yet). Also, you can also run these speakers off of the AC Adapter so you don't drain the batteries and it will charge your iPod at the same time. Finally, the AC Adapter is very well designed, it has a area with ledges that allow you to wrap the cord around so storage is clean and easy. Also, the actual prongs for plugging the adapter in to the outlet will fold back into the adapter itself the same way the MacBook adapter works. This was a nice surprise!
Design
The black glossy face of the speakers looks really nice and the clam shell case is awesome. It fits the speakers, ac adapter, and remote nicely. My only complaint here is that the system itself seems physically unbalanced. There are pads on the bottom that allow the speakers to stand up, however the unit seems to have a center of gravity that tilts the speaker backward and it falls over very easily. If you give it a slight nudge it will fall right over. You can solve this problem by leaning the speakers on something, but I would have thought Logitech would have placed the center of gravity lower in the unit to avoid this problem. This video on CNet is a great introduction to the speakers, but doesn't go into as much depth as my review:

Summary
I am extremely pleased by the sound quality, and love listening to these speakers. The speakers look good and the battery life and case are great. There are definitely some design flaws (remote, operation, and center of gravity), but Logitech has delivered where it matters most - sound quality. I would recommend these speakers despite the flaws, but I would not pay the retail price of $150 for them.
